As our way of staying connected with our clients, and to show our appreciation, we hold client events throughout the year. Whether its game nights, free dinners, holiday pies, or our much beloved annual pig roast, we keep it fun for our Marathon Group Financial family. In addition to providing our clients with solid, professional retirement planning we also make sure they have a good time. Here’s some highlights from recent years. We hope you’ll join us.
Annual Pig Roast
It started with an idea: let’s bring a delicious, authentic, fun experience to our clients. Then, Greg was off to the races. He started researching to look for a caterer for this kind of event. But, when he couldn’t find a good solution, he decided: “Let’s do it ourselves!” Greg and a friend dug their own BBQ pit, built their own roaster, and the pig roast was born.
At our pig roast, we serve hundreds of plates of good ‘ole fashioned southern style cooking, complete with all the fixin’s, cornbread, and, of course, the BBQ sauce. We’re adaptable, too. During the 2020 pandemic, we ended up hosting a “virtual” pig roast, with clients stopping by to pick up their to-go plates of deliciousness. Just another example of why we aren’t your typical, stuffy financial firm.
Pie Give Away
If you ask most people what their favorite part of a holiday meal is, pie is usually high on the list. Every year, we load up on fresh baked pies and invite our clients to come enjoy. Just another perk for our clients and a “sweet” way for us to say “thank you.”
